Let’s start with the Carnivore Diet results for men. Then, we focus on the female results after going on the Carnivore Diet.
For years, I’ve been on yo-yo diets on and off. I committed myself to try Keto. I lost 30 lbs, then stalled.
August 19th, 2022, my wife and I jumped in the car to make the 8-hour drive to visit our 2nd grandson. We never made it. Seven miles from my daughter’s house, we were hit head-on by a drunk driver at high speed, driving on the wrong side of the road.
We were both nearly killed, and my wife experienced massive trauma. It took 9 months for the majority of the pain from the wreck to leave my body. My stamina was gone as well. All my weight was back, and I felt terrible.
I discovered your YouTube channel, and I joined the group just before the start of the October challenge. I have lost 30 pounds in 2.5 months. I went from 290 lbs to 260, and then 240 lbs. I feel amazing; I was using pain meds every day before; now, nothing. Pain levels are essentially gone, and energy is off the charts. Thanks for what you do!

At 63, after years of battling severe health issues, including chronic IBS, migraines, acid reflux, hyperthyroidism, and heart disease, I was told I’d need medications for life due to poor heart function.
Despite following various so-called healthy diets like vegetarian, vegan, keto, and paleo, my health only worsened. I was desperate when I found the Carnivore Diet as a last resort, and the results were unbelievable.
IBS disappeared almost immediately, migraines became rare, acid reflux resolved, and even my age-related poor heart function completely reversed. And by 66, I was off all medications, more active than ever, and experiencing true health for the first time.
I lost 10 kilos and experienced more strength and vitality, while the GoCarnivore Community and Dr. Chaffee helped me a lot. This meat-based diet was easy to follow and brought consistent improvement.
Now, I realize fruits and vegetables were the causes of my past health issues, and I focus on listening to my body to optimize the diet.

I have struggled with my weight for most of my life. Despite spending hours at the gym and trying countless diets, my weight climbed to 420 pounds.
Even after weight-loss surgery, which reduced my stomach size, I only managed to bring my weight down to 365 pounds, leaving me with joint pain and frustration.
My turning point came after experimenting with intermittent fasting and the ketogenic diet. While those helped somewhat, I wanted more significant changes.
Inspired by Jordan Peterson's discussion of the Carnivore Diet on a podcast and after the birth of my daughter, I began researching the Carnivore lifestyle to regain my health and energy for my family.
I’m 65 now, a former athlete who turned morbidly obese, peaking at 365+ pounds, and experienced a life-altering transformation through dietary change.
After years of consuming high-carb, high-sugar meals and struggling with severe health issues—such as type 2 diabetes, severe sleep apnea, chronic joint pain, high blood pressure, fatty liver, and more—I transitioned to a low-carb Ketovore diet focused on heavy meat consumption.
This change brought great improvements: weight loss (from 365 to 332 pounds within six months), stable energy levels, better concentration, and less reliance on medications like Metformin and anti-inflammatory drugs.
My morning blood sugar levels dropped, inflammation subsided, and chronic conditions like GERD, neuropathy, and retinal issues improved.
Using a meat-rich diet with minimal carbs and zero sugar, I regained energy, completed household projects, and enjoyed feeling sated for the first time.
With my wife’s support, I modified the diet to my health needs and eliminated most symptoms of my prior poor health.
Now enjoying renewed vitality, I credit the Ketovore diet for my great recovery and newfound quality of life.
There are various Carnivore Diet before and after female success stories. Let’s review some of the individuals who reached their health and fitness goals with GoCarnivore.

My life changed when I went 100% Carnivore. Within 30 days, my 20-year alcohol and sugar addiction went away. When I hit 50, I had really bad menopause symptoms - hot flushes, night sweats, and the menopause weight gain around the belly was terrible!
I tried high-fat Carnivore, and my menopause symptoms went away, but I noticed I was getting more fat around the belly. So, I decided to prioritize protein and eat fat for satiety (but not overdo it).
This is what I learned from our community. And now I am 50 lbs lighter, have great energy, and true food freedom – for life!
I spent 26 years trying every diet (you name it, I've tried it!) Vegetarian, Vegan, Paleo, Keto - they all didn't work until I found Carnivore!

I also had so much more energy, started lifting heavy, and actually entered into my first bodybuilding competition. GoCarnivore changed my life, and I know it will change yours!
At 69, I found a way of eating that completely transformed my life. Despite years of focusing on "healthy" whole foods, fruits, vegetables, and some meat, my weight reached 328 pounds, and I felt trapped in a cycle of sugar addiction, depression, and hopelessness.
A wake-up call came in early 2024 when hospitalization for venous insufficiency and lymphedema forced me to look for an alternative to surgery.
Discovering the Carnivore lifestyle through Rina’s YouTube videos changed my life despite initial challenges with cravings.

At 60, as a breast cancer survivor battling weight issues and long-term depression and anxiety, I decided to put health over everything else.
After years of unsuccessful diets like Weight Watchers and struggling to lose weight beyond 212 pounds, I discovered the book Wheat Belly, which highlighted gluten as a major issue.
This sparked a journey toward better health, helping me explore the Carnivore Diet after encouragement from my sister and following experts like Dr. Berry on YouTube.
At first, I doubted the diet’s extreme nature, but I finally noticed significant improvements and joined the animal-based lifestyle.
Joining the GoCarnivore 90-day challenge in March was a turning point. Breaking past the 200-pound barrier, losing seven pounds, and feeling better than ever, I also began reducing their depression and anxiety medications with my psychiatrist’s support.

The amount of inflammation that I have lost with Carnivore has just been amazing! The first 10 pounds was mostly liquid, which was excess inflammation, which is wonderful to lose.
You feel lighter; you look better. Then my skin has improved. My gut is definitely the happiest it’s been in a long time. I’ve put one form of microscopic colitis in remission and also a swallowing disorder that had been plaguing me for a good 5 years. Joints are better. I have osteoarthritis that I’ve barely noticed.
I feel like I’m getting younger every day. It’s reverse aging, if that’s possible. That alone should be a good incentive that just means you are getting healthier on Carnivore.
The GoCarnivore Group has really been great for me. They have been emotionally supportive. Having the coaches to ask questions of. The group members also share their experiences, especially being able to ask some of the experts in the field.

I started Carnivore on September 1st and I was 187 pounds. In 50 days, I dropped 10 pounds, went from high blood pressure to normal (from 190/104 to 124/69), and dropped my blood glucose (8.7 to 6.4), and I am off 5 medications!
My biggest advice would be to please ditch the scale. It can lie to you about your progress. Just go be the way you feel and how your clothes are fitting you.
I have stopped medications for cholesterol, thyroid, GERD, IBS, and nerve pain. Still have some tingling in my lower extremities, but nothing I can't handle, still on my medication for diabetes.
Losing weight with everything you teach in the community is just icing on the cake. Carnivore cake, that is! Lol! Blessings!
I am Susan, a 68-year-old from Idaho. The Carnivore diet transformed my life after decades of struggling with the Standard American Diet (SAD).
Starting keto in 2017 helped me lose 46 pounds, but I found it difficult to overcome my sugar and carb addiction due to keto-friendly treats.
Since I really wanted to solve my insulin resistance and break free from cravings, I took the leap to the Carnivore Diet in February 2024.
While the transition came with challenges, such as finding alternative fats to butter due to migraines, the results were amazing. Within two days, my carb and sugar cravings vanished, giving me a new sense of freedom.
The benefits continued, and by 3.5 weeks, I reduced my blood pressure medication, and by two months, my old bowel issues were resolved.
Though the scale didn’t show huge weight loss, I dropped dress sizes and inches and noticed steady progress. I should thank the Go Carnivore Community for providing invaluable support, education, and friendship, helping me stay motivated and confident in adjusting the diet according to my needs.
Now, with lasting food freedom and improved health, I have no plans of turning back, as Carnivore is my “safe place” after decades of struggle.
I have battled chronic pain in my head, neck, and jaw for over a decade without relief, which caused severe depression and struggles with weight.
After starting a strict Carnivore Diet last November, my depression vanished within two weeks, and I found it easier to cope with my pain.
I lost 30 pounds, solved digestive issues, and felt free from calorie counting. My husband has also adopted the diet, curing his asthma and arrhythmia.
Now, I’m living in Italy, facing skepticism from my neighbors, but I’m committed to this lifestyle. Although I have a Ph.D. in Physics, I’m passionate about nutrition and doubtful of mainstream health advice.
I’m studying nutrition at Stanford and hope to inspire my family to adopt the Carnivore Diet for their health issues. I plan to attend a carnivore event in Spain to connect with fellow carnivores. At nearly 64, I feel healthier and more inspired than ever.
I’m Emily, a 51-year-old stay-at-home mom. I battled weight, food issues, depression, and low self-esteem for most of my life.
I was over 200 pounds in my 20s and reached 300 pounds in my late 30s after having children. My relationship with food was horrible. At 46, while considering gastric sleeve surgery, a friend offered to support me through a weight-loss journey, providing daily help that resulted in real transformation.
I started with fasting and surprisingly gained self-confidence and saw positive body changes. Combining fasting with the Carnivore Diet helped me shed the last 50 pounds, ultimately achieving a 150-pound weight loss and maintaining it.
I credit the Carnivore Diet as the more powerful tool, helping me overcome cravings and simplifying my eating habits.
Previously, keto was difficult for me because of artificial sweeteners and keto treats that triggered overeating. The simplicity of Carnivore, its focus on meat, and being free from loopholes brought me real control.
My family has accepted this lifestyle, and now we have meals centered around beef, bacon, and chicken wings.
I also resolved lifelong depression without medication because the Carnivore Diet is about healing first. I suggest everyone avoid obsessing over the scale, seek community support, and focus on wellness over numbers.
I’m Cindy (Cynthia), 64 years old. I have faced a lifetime of struggles with weight and health issues. Standing at 5’4”, I had been morbidly obese for much of my adult life, battling high blood pressure since I was a teenager.
By 2006, I weighed nearly 300 pounds. Although I repeated dieting, my weight continued to rise.
In 2007, I underwent gastric bypass surgery after researching its benefits and consulting with my husband. The surgery was successful at first—by May 2008, I had lost 85 pounds and could stop taking blood pressure medication.
However, over time, my weight began creeping back up as I restarted eating sweets. Problems like osteopenia and arthritis emerged, showing that weight loss alone wasn’t enough to solve my health issues.
By 2014, my arthritis made me perform knee replacement surgery. While the first procedure went smoothly, my second knee replacement in 2017 caused infections requiring multiple surgeries and extended antibiotic treatments. The ordeal drained me physically and emotionally.
In 2018, I was diagnosed with primary and secondary lymphedema after experiencing severe swelling in my legs and feet.
The condition created more problems. Despite these challenges, I found hope in 2020 when my sister introduced me to the ketogenic diet.
I started the ketogenic diet in September 2020 at 269.9 pounds and quickly experienced improvements. Within my first week, I had dropped 20 pounds, and my A1C levels improved from 5.8 to 5.0.
As I continued my journey, I transitioned to a Ketovore and Carnivore Diet, focusing on meats, eggs, bacon, and some low-carb vegetables.
By following this way of eating, I could improve the following health factors:
I credit my sister for encouraging me to try the ketogenic diet, which transformed my health and quality of life.
Ketovore and Carnivore work best for me, giving me a sustainable approach to eating that has helped me feel better than ever. Diet can bring real changes and help me reclaim health and well-being.
I suffered from SIBO and insomnia my whole life. I went to doctor after doctor and had endoscopies - they told me to follow the Elemental Diet and drink shakes!
I was suffering, and I didn't know what to do until I found Dr Ken Berry on YouTube.
The day I started Carnivore, my life changed. My SIBO healed within 90 days, I can now sleep through the night, and I am up at 4:30 am, ready for the day!
I need lots of energy as I have been a kindergarten teacher for 26 years in New York, and Carnivore is not just a diet for me - it's given me back my life!

Tired and miserable, I knew I needed a major change. Revisiting the Carnivore Diet in 2023 after years of research and emotional self-reflection, I set a goal of following it strictly for three months to heal my body and mind.
Although it was daunting at first, the process became transformative as I educated myself with resources offered by the GoCarnivore Community for guidance and support.
Within six months, I experienced incredible improvements: I cleared eczema and psoriasis, eliminated arthritis pain, mobility issues, pre-diabetes, and migraines, reduced pre-menopause symptoms, and significantly lowered her blood pressure.
I also lost 42 pounds and 8 inches from my waist, regaining energy and positivity. While the biggest challenge was trusting the process and shifting my mindset away from quick fixes, the support of the Carnivore Community and listening to my body were key to my success.
Now, I am a “meat eater for life” because the Carnivore Diet is simple, affordable, and sustainable, so I'll never turn back.
Here, you can read Suzanne’s interview about her Carnivore Diet results.
For most of my life, I followed the Standard American Diet (S.A.D.), struggling with weight loss and regaining it repeatedly. About 15 years ago, I switched to a whole-food omnivore lifestyle, which improved my energy and digestion, but it wasn’t enough to address deeper health issues.
In 2015, after being diagnosed with Lupus and other autoimmune conditions, I realized I had more control over my health than I thought.
My journey led me to a Paleo-like diet and eventually to a Ketovore/Carnivore lifestyle in July, which brought significant improvements in my metabolic health, joint pain, and overall well-being.
With the support of the GoCarnivore Community, I’ve lost inches, improved my health markers, and feel better than I have in years.
This lifestyle has been easier than I expected, thanks to delicious foods and expert guidance from coaches and doctors. While I won’t rule out the occasional vegetable or fruit, I’m confident I’ll never go back to the S.A.D.
For anyone considering Carnivore, I recommend gradual transitions, learning from credible sources, and joining a supportive community to make the journey more successful and enjoyable.
The benefits I’ve seen since starting the Carnivore Diet would be cleared skin. I’ve always had acne throughout my life, to the point that my family members called me Pizza Face.
Now that’s not a problem. I would also say that my stomach isn’t pudgy, my body is well-balanced, and my energy level is amazing. I don’t need coffee but just drink it because I love the taste. No more anxiety or depression.
30-Day Carnivore Diet before and after photos show that you can see Carnivore Diet results in 30 days. Here is what happens to the body after 1 month on the Carnivore Diet.
Try this free Carnivore 90-day challenge and boost your Carnivore results because, after 90 days on the Carnivore Diet, you will notice significant improvements as follows.
Since Carnivore is an elimination diet, avoiding carbohydrates and decreasing caloric intake improves metabolic function and leads to significant weight loss.
These improvements can also impact body composition by improving digestion and muscle tone.
Burning carbohydrates causes blood sugar spikes, but when you cut carbs, the body uses fat for energy, which doesn’t cause blood sugar spikes, providing more stable energy throughout the day.
Also, cutting carbohydrates makes the body use ketones produced from fat metabolism, which can improve brain function.
Plant-based foods contain anti-nutrients like lectins and oxalates, which cause inflammation in the body. Avoiding plant-based foods can improve joints, reduce joint pain, and alleviate other inflammatory conditions.
Eliminating fiber, which is commonly found in plant-based foods, can improve digestion by reducing gas and bloating as your digestive system adjusts to processing only animal-based foods.
Going on a Carnivore Diet means avoiding processed foods, sugars, and inflammatory plant oils, which helps decrease acne and other skin conditions.
Also, consuming animal products can improve nutrient absorption (e.g., zinc, iron, and B vitamins), which can lead to healthier hair and nails.
Avoid carbohydrates and inducing ketosis fat-burning state stabilizes mood swings and boosts cognitive function. Lower inflammation and better brain performance resulting from consuming fewer carbohydrates can also improve mental conditions like depression or anxiety.
To reach these health benefits in only 90 days, you can start the Carnivore Diet after consulting a healthcare professional. So, let’s get to know the basics of this diet.
Carnivore Diet is the third and final stage of the Primal Diet, which follows the footsteps of our meat-eating ancestor’s eating habits to improve health by addressing the root causes of various diseases.
Insulin resistance, high blood sugar levels, hormonal imbalances, and inflammation are the main causes of a wide range of chronic diseases, from cancer and autoimmune conditions to heart and brain problems.
Following a Carnivore Diet is easy, as it is an elimination diet that excludes unnecessary foods and focuses on low-carb, high-fat, and nutrient-dense foods.
If you are new to the Carnivore lifestyle, have questions, or need support, join the Carnivore Community to have regular meetings with doctors, ask and answer questions, share experiences, get round-the-clock support, and get faster Carnivore results.
Although you need to consult a healthcare professional before starting the diet to ensure it aligns with your current health status and goals, it is generally a safe eating style, according to doctors and studies.
The short answer is yes. The Carnivore Diet is a simple, low-carb diet focusing on nutritious, animal-based foods. It aims to improve metabolic health by eliminating unnecessary foods.
Various doctors and healthcare professionals have confirmed the safety and effectiveness of the Carnivore Diet. For example, Dr. Ken Berry, the author of Lies My Doctor Told Me, has followed the Carnivore Diet for many years and has once said:
“When I first tried Carnivore, my metabolic health improved so much that I did research to see if it was okay to skip veggies long-term.” He also mentioned, "I learned that for millennia, cultures have thrived eating Carnivore-style.”
But why is this simple diet so effective?
The Carnivore Diet is a low-carbohydrate eating plan similar to the Keto Diet but more restrictive, as it excludes all plant-based foods.
Excluding plant foods means minimizing carbohydrates to the point that no sugar is consumed. The human body burns glucose (a kind of sugar/ carbohydrate) to provide energy. When you don’t consume sugar, your body looks for another source of energy.
This new energy source on the Carnivore Diet is fat. Burning fat enters your body into a fat-burning state called ketosis, where your body uses ketones to provide energy.
So, your body produces ketones to be used as the main fuel for bodily functions. According to research, ketone production burns fat on the belly, hips, and thighs up to 7 times faster.
Another reason for the effectiveness of the Carnivore Diet is that cutting carbohydrates, which leads to ketone production, suppresses appetite, helping you control appetite without even trying!
Additionally, avoiding plant-based foods means steering clear of inflammatory foods. Plants, even almonds, tomatoes, or spinach, can contain anti-nutrients and toxins causing inflammation.
It’s no secret that inflammation is the cause of a wide range of chronic diseases; it can even hinder weight loss because inflamed tissues release compounds that block weight loss and put stress on different body parts.
As Dr. Berry confirms, “It’s the big reason Carnivore improves health so much.” The great thing about these positive effects of the Carnivore Diet is that they are not age-bound, i.e., “We see people in their 50s, 60s, even their late 70s use Carnivore to look and feel decades younger,” says Dr. Berry.
There have also been different research studies on the effectiveness of low-carb diets like Carnivore. Let’s review them and see what science says.
Although numerous studies have been conducted on the impacts of low-carb diets on health, fewer studies have been focused on the Carnivore Diet. Here are the most famous ones.
A 2021 study on 2029 adults trying the Carnivore Diet showed that despite what many may think, the Carnivore Diet resulted in various health benefits with minor side effects [1].
In another attempt to study the Carnivore Diet results in 2019, Dr. Shawn Baker started a survey with 11,000 participants. The results indicated significant health benefits after trying the Carnivore Diet, as the image below shows [2].
Now that we know science also supports the Carnivore Diet results let’s answer some of the most frequently asked questions about this diet.
Each individual’s starting weight, metabolic flexibility, health status, and activity level determine how fast they can see results on a Carnivore diet. However, generally, you can notice changes and improvements even after one month of following the Carnivore Diet.
Although the amount varies among individuals, you can experience about 50 lbs of weight loss if you stick to the Carnivore Diet rules and avoid carbohydrates and high-calorie foods.
Yes, by avoiding carbohydrates, inducing and maintaining ketosis, and consuming enough fat and protein, you improve metabolic flexibility, which helps you get rid of stubborn belly fat.
It depends on your definition of how much! However, as the Carnivore Diet results confirm, restricting caloric intake, balancing macronutrient ratios, and minimizing carbohydrate consumption can result in significant weight loss, depending on your metabolic flexibility.
You can join the Carnivore Diet transformation anytime you feel ready. Consulting a healthcare professional can also help you decide if it is the right time to start the Carnivore Diet.
