For years I’ve been on yo yo diets on and off. In January of 2022, after an American holiday season of unrelated eating of all the wrong stuff I committed myself to try Keto. I stepped on the scale at 290 and dropped to the low to mid 260s within a few months. At that time I simply stalled.
August 19th 2022 my wife and I jumped in the car in Oklahoma City to make the 8 hours drive to Albuquerque, NM to meet our 2nd grandson for the first time. We never made it. 7 miles from my daughter’s house we were hit head on by a drunk driver at high speed driving on the wrong side of the road.
We were both nearly killed and my wife experienced massive trauma, long story short, multiple surgeries in two different states, 8 plates of steel and hundreds of screws it took her 5 months to learn to walk again. I had multiple fractures and trauma but nothing as severe as my wife. I never returned to my job to stay home and take care of my wife. Needless to say, we ate whatever we could which was not healthy nor keto.
All my weight was back and I felt terrible. It took 9 months for the majority of the pain from the wreck to leave my body, my stamina was gone as well.
I saw a short video on Dr Jordan Peterson describing the Lion Diet. I thought, I’m going to try that. I started July 25th of 2023.
I discovered your YouTube channel (5 Minute Body) while searching for Dr. Ken Berry and have very much enjoyed all your videos. I joined the 5 Minute Body group just before the start of the October challenge and then moved to the GoCarnivore app.
Before my results, when I started I was wearing 2xl and 3xl shirts and 40-42 inch waist pants. I have started purchasing xl shirts and 38 inch waist pants. I feel amazing, I was using pain meds every day before now nothing. Pain levels are essentially gone, energy is off the charts.
All my results to this point are with NO exercise. Due to the wreck I was not sure I’d ever recover enough to exercise again. I start back tomorrow.
